Founded in 2017 by Melbourne-based artist & designer Thomas Yeend, YEEND Studio has specialised in the production of Australian hand-crafted object and lighting design.

With a background in hand-blown glass product design of over 10 years, YEEND’s core philosophy has always been our dedication to local craftsmanship, with an emphasis on Australian-made, small-batch production, often working in collaboration alongside select local designers, studios and craftspeople to produce our ranges.

Our inspirations lie in a deeply-rooted love of colour theory, architectural motifs, and material experimentation, typified by our signature use of bold colours, simple, clean lines, and rich textures and materials.

We have received multiple accolades for our design over the years, including 2 VIVID design awards and the Dulux Colour Award for our Kilo Lamp and Reo Lamp. We have also been privileged to have produced a number of custom commissioned pieces and products, designing and crafting for commercial and private clients such as Jardan Furniture, Dinosaur Designs, and The University Of South Australia.

We ultimately strive to deliver work which acts both as functional lighting and collectible design; each YEEND Studio piece is designed as a considered object, meeting a stylistic elegance with a subtle signature playfulness, resulting in lighting which is as architecturally-inspired as the spaces it inhabits.
