Founded in 2017 by artist & designer Thomas Yeend, YEEND Studio has specialised in the production of hand-crafted, Australian-produced decorative object and lighting design.

With a background in hand-blown glass of over 10 years, YEEND’s core philosophy has always been a dedication to local craftsmanship, with all pieces proudly designed and hand-crafted in Australia, often in collaboration with other select local designers, studios and craftspeople. 

YEEND Studio’s design is characterised by our key inspirations; a lifelong love of colour theory, a genuine passion for lighting design, and an obsession with material experimentation, pushing and exploring the limits of glass, metal, timber, and concrete to create unique pieces with a signature style. Our work is also greatly influenced by architectural design and motifs, particularly that of the Bauhaus and Art Deco movements; smooth curves, clean lines and a playful use of colour and materials, our designs are as architecturally crafted as the spaces they inhabit. 

We have received multiple accolades for our design over the years, including 2 VIVID design awards and the Dulux Colour Award for our Kilo Lamp and Reo Lamp. We have also been privileged to have produced a number of custom commissioned pieces and products, designing and crafting for commercial and private clients such as Jardan Furniture, Dinosaur Designs, and The University Of South Australia.

Our ultimate goal is to create timeless, beautiful pieces that blend an elegant sense style with a subtle signature playfulness, and are always emblematic of our deeply-rooted beliefs in Australian craftsmanship, and original, quality design.
